Youth Treatment Substance abuse treatment for youth is not simply their problem, it is a family issue and we include the WHOLE family in learning coping mechanisms to support youth sobriety.Whether or not your child is involved in drugs, it is important to Know the Signs of Adolescent Substance Use/abuse. Strategies for Change provides substance abuse treatment and support services to youth and their families. Group and individual treatment services are provided at both North and South locations by appointment. School-based services are provided at select middle and high school campuses on regularly designated days and times. Youth attending a school where Strategies for Change is a community provider, can self-refer or be referred by a principle, teacher or school counselor. Strategies for Change counselors ensure appropriateness of referral, coordinate assessments and obtain parent permission slip prior to treatment. Strategies for Change helps young people and their families understand that drugs and alcohol have no place in realizing one’s dreams. If you are a youth in need of treatment or know someone you think could benefit from treatment…we can help. Additionally, if you are interested in bringing our youth treatment program to your school or community setting, we would be glad to work with you. Parents and youth can access Strategies for Change substance abuse treatment services by contacting Connie French, North Site Program Manager at ext. 227. Most families can qualify for youth treatment at no cost through the CARE program. See Youth Treatment Costs for details.
